Music examinations are an important part of most music student’s education; they help provide both short term and long term goals. They also provide a yardstick of progress and afford students the opportunity to develop the skills of details preparation, attention to detail and performing in a stressful situation.

Not until I had a pre diploma lesson with James did I discover the land beyond just the notes. A journey from playing the notes on the page to making the music come alive, I left energised with a whole collection of further performers to explore, practice techniques and with the insight of an examiner for a final push toward my diploma exam.
